✦ ASTROLOGY ✦

The Study of Celestial Patterns

In India, Astrology has evolved and expanded to have many branches. Explore the branches presented in Abhi’s framework.

✦ FROM ASTRONOMY TO ASTROLOGY ✦

From Celestial Geometry to the Study of Life Trends.

EARTH

Astronomy as a study of the position and movement of planets in our Solar System started in Mesopotamia, present-day Iraq, by people of Sumerian civilizations.

They considered Earth to be the reference frame and the resulting virtual spherical shape of the universe with Earth at its center is what we call today the Celestial sphere for application of geometry in Astronomy.

At the same time, they realized the existence of a mapping between the position of planets, especially the Sun and the Moon, and the trend of events in the life of individuals on Earth.

Based on this notion of mapping they started the study of the subject called Astrology based on Celestial 3D geometry, Mathematics, and a primitive native version of descriptive statistics for empirical studies culminating in a trend study for arriving at predictions.
